Lydia and Denney's Celebration

Submitted by: Lydia Keegan (bride)

Wedding location: Indiana

At every guest's seat was a thank you bag full of goodies; personalized bags available at ForYourParty.com. We were able to keep the theme of the tree of life from the programs to the favor bags, and encorporate our colors of blue and white in these simple bags

Seating cards...hung in a gorgeous frame on dupioni silk. Each guest found their name, and went to the table labelled with the letters on the card. The letter were from an 1880's school book I bought a few years ago, called the Bible alphabet. I scanned the images in to my computer and printed the cropped letters on cardstock. The tables featured the original page posted on canvas and a mini easel. A fun project!

The chilly March day began with snow flurries, so this coat from Arden B. was wonderful for the wedding day!

As part of the ceremony, we chose to encorporate a little symoblism, using the unity candle, salt covenant, and communion to symbolize the union. Fresh ferns and candleabras surrounded the wedding party, lovingly placed by my mother and her best friend.

Guests arrived at Allison Mansion less than twenty minutes after the ceremony and were greeted by the bride and groom at the door. A wonderful old-fashioned typewriter served as the guestbook in the entrance. We really enjoyed reading those afterwards...typos galore!!!
