Tiffany & Chad

Submitted by: Tiffany Quinn (bride)

Wedding location: Mount Airy Mansion, Upper Marlboro, MD

This lovely day in December will be a moment unforgotten! The day was perfect- everything went smoothly and our guests more than enjoyed themselves. I loved everything about my attire- my dress, my hair, my birdcage veil, my make-up, and my flat shoes! And my hubby looked so handsome! We were just so happy to be surrounded around so much love and support.

I love this photo of my dad and I during our dance. We danced to Frank Sinatra's, "The Way You Look Tonight." I can remember dancing with my dad since I was young and he was so happy and proud to show off his moves! It was extra special because my mom passed away July 2006 and our relationship has gotten so much stronger since. I also love how the photographer caught my name on my dress from the custom gobo we had over the dance floor.

My bridesmaids were stunning! I loved the colors together and the look came out to be very elegant. They wore Bill Levkoff in Sable. Flowers were done by All of Your Dreams Flowers, Bethesda, MD

We loved our shoes! The story behind mine: I knew I wanted to wear pink shoes. I had a pair that I ended up changing into during the reception along with a very cute party dress by Jessica McClintock. Maybe a week before the wedding, I came to my senses and realized that no one would really see my shoes until I made that change into the other dress. So I found these cute pink flats for like $7 and took it as a sign from God! The story behind my husband's shoes: He loves sneakers and actually wanted to get his groomsmen chocolate brown sneakers to wear with their tuxes. He could not find the "right shoe," so he kind of gave up on the idea. We were at the mall 5 days before the wedding and just happened to see these Chocolate brown and pink Air Jordans! He was walking around the house with those shoes on for the rest of the week. I think they complimented him and his chocolate tux well!

The reception was held in the same room as the ceremony. So we used pink uplights throughout to transform and create the party atmosphere that we wanted. This was some of the table decor. The tables consisted chocolate brown linen with candle votives, high and low vases of pink roses, and pink rose petals. The table numbers were my favorite! We did "over the years" table numbers, with the year and our corresponding picture. Guest were given place cards at the beginning of the ceremony that stated "Please join us later to see what Chad and Tiffany were doing in 1986"... It was definitely a hit with our guests and was great bonding time for us while trying to find pictures. It's amazing how many embarrassing moments in time you can find!
